NexPath - Career Assessment & Guidance Platform
Research-Backed Approach

Our Methodology

NexPath empowers individuals with personalized, research-based career guidance rooted in proven psychological frameworks and real-time labor market data.

Core Models

Scientific Foundations

Our methodology is built on three of the most respected psychological frameworks in career development

Work Adjustment Theory (WAT)

Developed by Dawis and Lofquist, WAT focuses on the interaction between an individual and their work environment through two critical dimensions:

Satisfaction (Work Values)

Measures if the job meets your core needs: achievement, relationships, support, working conditions, independence, and recognition.

Satisfactoriness (Work Styles)

Evaluates if you have the behavioral qualities required by the job, across 16 work-style dimensions (conscientiousness, interpersonal skills, etc.).

Benefits

  • Assess your values and behavioral traits to predict job satisfaction and performance
  • Match you with roles where both your needs are met and your abilities align
  • Predict long-term career adjustment and likelihood of staying in a role

RIASEC Model

Developed by John L. Holland, this theory classifies people and work environments into six personality types. We use RIASEC to identify your core interests and match you with occupational environments that align with your natural preferences.

R - Realistic

Practical, hands-on, technical

I - Investigative

Analytical, research-oriented

A - Artistic

Creative, expressive, intuitive

S - Social

People-focused, helping professions

E - Enterprising

Leadership, sales, business-oriented

C - Conventional

Organized, detail-focused, data-driven

Benefits

  • Identify your personality profile and core interests
  • Match with careers reflecting similar personality types
  • Increase engagement and career satisfaction through better alignment

Allport's Trait Structure

We integrate Allport's hierarchy of traits (Cardinal, Central, Secondary) as a Trait Weighting Layer. Traits that show consistent, strong expression (cardinal) receive higher influence when computing occupational fit, while situational preferences receive lower weight.

Cardinal traits

High-impact, defining dispositions that significantly shift job-fit scores.

Central traits

Core personality dimensions that shape typical behavior and work preferences.

Secondary traits

Contextual or situational preferences with lower weighting in the model.

Benefits

  • Adds a trait-weighted layer to WAT and Work Styles for finer-grained fit scoring
  • Improves long-term stability predictions by separating enduring traits from situational preferences
  • Enables dynamic recalibration of trait weights with longitudinal outcomes
